I, Louise Green Harrison, visited VT, fell in love with all 5 seasons, and moved to Killington by myself with my worldly belongings in my VW bug on June 1, 1976. I couldn't find a job, saw a need for a cool boutique and 6 weeks later with a $1500 loan from my grandfather BO Craven, I established a small custom made clothing shop and brought new concepts of fashion Vt. When I was the first to import designer jeans, my competitors thought I was crazy and would fail. One was quoted in the Rutland Herald saying, "No one in Rutland will ever pay $75 for a pair of jeans!". So I owned and operated 6 little specialty shops in Rutland and Killington, and on the coast of Maine for 18 years. The stores were: "Greenbean's Attic" and "Bo Craven" located in Kennebunkport and Ogunquit Maine, Killington and downtown Rutland.

The stores closed in 1993 (long story) when my youngest son Ben was 5. I became a full time mother that what such a pleasure and I discovered YOGA. In 1995 I became a certified Kripalu Yoga Teacher. I currently teach weekly ongoing classes in my home near Pico and offer private sessions on location.

I began my real estate career by "pre-selling" the Killington Grand Hotel project for the American Skiing Company and two years later, I became a REALTOR, and have been successfully selling homes, land and condos since 1998.

After working for 3 other agencies, the last one closing, I decided to open my own office in October 2002 and the rest is history.

I take pride in bringing the buyer and seller together. My sales associates, Peter Bowry, Lynn Huntoon Acker, and Nancy Beane, and Nancy Labella, not to mention Gail Abel our office manager & closing coordinator all work together as a team. Buyers can work with any or all of us. We take pride in our inner office communication, and list, market and sell each unique property, always striving for the ultimate WIN / WIN.

My youngest son Ben Harrison is 22 and in his 3rd year at Syracuse studying Architecture. He graduated from Rutland High School with high honors in 2006. After HS he did a year of volunteer work with inner city kids in Boston with a program called City Year (Americorp).

Son Michael Skaskiw, graduated from Penn State, and is living in Phoenix, Arizona with his lovely wife Teresa in their wonderful home. On May 15, 2008, I became Cara Skaskiw's grandma! My first grandchild is amazing! Michael is self employed as a real estate appraiser. Teresa is a Realtor and wonderful MOM! Coinsidentally my mother was a Real Estate Broker, state of PA commisioner as well as an appraiser! Mom now lives in Lauderdale by the Sea, Florida.

Birthson Grayson and wife Kim live in Florida. Grayson has worked for over two and a half decades as a Lifeguard and EMT on Hutchinson Island. They are still recovering from the hurricane aftermath.

I have two boxers named Lucy and George (Harrison). They share the same energy, spirit and hysterical personalities. They hang out in our office so if you don't like dogs please call ahead ahead... and I will put them in my truck.

I own the Hideaway Chalet in Killington. It is a perfect reunion / ski house that legally sleeps 24.

These are interesting times economically.
We ALL need to keep things in perspective and remember to reuse and recycle, stretch our minds and bodies, carpool, PRAY for World Peace and Prosperity and continue to buy real estate!
